Can this directory be excluded from virus scan: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GEOTAB\Checkmate

If you want better performance from your SQL database you could do this, but if your database files get infected you will not be able to detect the infection. See the following article for more information: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309422
